Let’s take a minute to chat about the latest news from the Kadena camp. Francesco Melpignano, whose name might ring a bell, is finally stepping away. And honestly? It’s about time. We’ve been pushing for his removal for over two years, culminating in a Change.org petition. He’s behind the entire Fakdex drama.

Remember those cringe-worthy moments during campfires and roundtables? The missteps, the questionable decisions, the ego? Yup, that was all Melpignano. His tenure was, in my opinion, a masterclass in how not to run things. I mean, who can forget that one time he… well, you know what? Let’s not rehash the past. Let’s look to the future.

Without Melpignano at the helm, there’s a breath of fresh air wafting through Kadena. It’s like that feeling you get when you finally take off a pair of too-tight shoes after a long day. Relief. Freedom. A chance to stretch out and find a better fit.

Now, don’t get me wrong. People are allowed to make mistakes. We’re all human. But when you consistently make the wrong calls and alienate those around you? That’s a different ball game.

I’m not saying Melpignano was the sole cause of every issue at Kadena. But his departure? It’s a step in the right direction. Now we’re back to focusing on building including Ecko and Wrinqle.

Here’s to new beginnings and a brighter, Melpignano-free future for Kadena. I know we are looking forward to working more closely with Chief Marketing Officer Mike Herron and Community Manager Dave Gillet.

Putting icing on the cake, Kadena also announced the appointment of legendary developers @Amirdapl and @Pascal3125 to the “core [development] team.”

Cheers! 🍻

Until next time.
